That one got a lot of criticism but honestly I loved the shit out of it. Meteora and Hybrid Theory were amazing but M2M had a very different vibeI’d argue it’s even more relevant. It was originally about Bush but can easily be about Trump especially the “why the leader just talks away, stuttering and mumbling for the nightly news to replay, you’re sitting in the living room, both scared and angry like what did he say?” Can easily be about the current state of America.I didn't realize at first that that song is about Hurricane Katrina and the government's response to it exposing their true prioritiesThe whole album was basically a fuck you to Bush. Hands Held High is by far their most political track and it’s fantastic. I wish they did more songs with similar lyrics.As an edgy teen I hated M2M, I actually remember commenting on a YouTube video how terrible I thought the music was and someone commented something along the lines of "People change and their music tastes change". I told him to fuck off but in hindsight, yeah he was right.
