 How crazy is it that The Breeders Natural Light Strawberry Lemonade Can This Witch Needs Beer Before Any Hocus Pocus Halloween T-Shirt never made a bad album, not one. They broke up for yeeeaaars after Last Splash, got back together, and made Title TK which might be my favorite album of theirs. (Tho it's hard to choose.) And recently, All Nerve! So fking good. I don't know of any other bands that I listened to in the 90s that are still making good material, they mostly sound like watered-down versions of themselves.Hello kindred spirit! I sometimes do the same to people and talk about Pixies for a little too long and its like, well... I'm sorry, but they are just really, undeniably, the best.I've heard people say Bossanova doesn't hold up to their previous albums, but it totally does... It just fuckin rocks in a different way than Doolittle or Surfer Rosa, but it's still way up there and possibly even on par with the previous albums. Velouria, Bossanova. Need I say more?And I agree with you... As much as I wanted to love all the newer Pixies material (anything post-Kim Deal), I just can't. The dichotomy of Frank Black and Kim Deal... it was magic. The two of their personalities, their music and songwriting, their voices in one band!? You just can't recreate that! I think that must be once in a lifetime.I seem to be unable to decide which album is my permanent favorite, but currently I think it's Surfer Rosa! :)
